Hello teams!

This is getting very exciting. UsFirstGirls is now 100 teams strong! Below we have a number of items that we are working on, please check them out and see how you can help!

1. We have made some changes to the email group so everyone should not be getting an overload of email any more. When you get an email from UsFirstGirls@GoogleGroups.com if you only do a Reply and not a 'Reply all' then just the person that sent the email will get the response, not everyone. For ideas for everyone, post your ideas to a forum on the UsFirstGirls.org site, that way they can be found in the future as well.

2. Time to order the handouts for the regional events so we need you to Vote! We have had the following ideas for handing out to the regional events:

   • Pink Bandannas
   • Purple Bandannas (matches the UsFirstGirls.org site)
   • Silicone debossed bracelet (Like the Live Strong ones)
   • Bead bracelets
   • Buttons

   The reason for the handouts is to let people know there is something going on, which allows us to raise the awareness of girls involved in FIRST. Thus getting more teams involved in UsFirstGirls and looking at www.UsFirstGirls.org to get ideas on how they can add more girls to their team for the next year.

3. We have a conference call with SWE (Society for Women Engineers) next week. It looks like they might be able to help Ambassador Teams at the regional events. This would be very exciting. We will keep you informed!

   We will be contacting Ambassador Teams directly in the next week so that they can start preparing. We will be creating kits for the Ambassador teams as well. Email us at UsFirstGirls@gmail.com if you want to be a UsFirstGirls Ambassador Team

5. One of the things that we can be doing at regional events is collecting statistical information that we can publish on the site. If you have ideas for some data that we could collect post your ideas to this forum: http://www.usfirstgirls.org/forum/topic/6. We will also be asking SWE for data they might want collected.

6. We have seen some really inspirational postings on the UsFirstGirls.org site under the "STEM majors" and "Non-STEM majors" forums. Thank you to those who have posted and keep them coming!

As you can tell we have lots of exciting stuff going on. Please help us out with the Items above. UsFirstGirls works best when we are all involved. Also if you have any suggestions on how we can improve things let us know.
